Unreal 2004

I was playing Unreal Tournament 2004 on my PC, just getting through single player. However, it feels a bit lonely when you play a game by yourself. So, for s**** and giggles, I decided to check out the internet connection thing where you play online. To my surprise, I found some rooms still functioning with players! I joined up on a game where it was a match in a custom map that resembled a bathroom. Sure, my team lost. But, I wasn't expecting people to still be playing the game anymore... I'm not complaining though. I'm just amazed. Though I am wondering... what kept it alive???

The moddability (Not a word, but should be added as so) of the game, seriously though, that game can be modded for ANY purpose imaginable, including RTS, RPG, Driving, Space, Adventure... And it comes freely bundled with a mod-making software. Killing Floor started off as a mod for such a game believe it or not.

As for old game playing, maybe we could have a round or two of Quake? I know some good servers around for that. I even see people playing Red Alert 1 (That's right not 2 or 3, but 1!)... Starcraft servers are still online, so are Diablo and Diablo 2 servers. Imagine that... Not everyone swapped over to the newer games when they came out.
