More Pokemon?

I'm quite sure I am about to receive some heavy heat from radicals, but at the moment, I do NOT care.

The Pokemon franchise. Been around since 1995. Creating new species and such to keep masses entertained. First of all, I am entertained, I must admit. The remakes of Silver and Gold were needed. But now, after looking at Black and White, can Game Freak and Nintendo keep it up? I mean, it has gotten neat over the ages, but now I have to shake my head in shame. They're just about at the end of the line. In my opinion, all they gotta do is remake a few old ones, and then they will finally be outta ideas. Overall, this is only foreshadowing the demise of the game series.

Hey didn't you hear that it DID die out like 5-6 years ago? I mean they had up until leaf green and fire red and that 3rd one (Can't remember, electric yellow maybe?) those were the LAST ones that I could even play. Silver was my ultimate favorite, ruby being the second, emerald the third. My first pokemon game was silver and let me tell you something, I played the game until it smashed, crashed, ground up like a cheese grater, in full flames and glory.... BURNED..... Killed the internal battery actually, I then replaced it with a motherboard battery, but that's a hack for another day. I gave it recently to my little brother and he LOVED it until he lost it that is...... Damn I had it for 8-9 years, and he had it for 1/4th...... Kids.......

I also think that the original writer for the anime series has just croaked, he wrote ALL of the storyline for the first pokemon series and up until the third movie. It is a sad day indeed though because ironically, I stopped watching the show after he stopped writing, shows how good of a writer he actually was. His name was Takeshi Shudo, look for it in some of the old movies and shows.

God bless ya Takeshi Shudo, you kept the damn series goin.... Ahhhh well, back to the 1st season of digimon for me, lol.

Well, in my own personal opinion, they should invest in making a new Pokemon Coliseum game. THAT was a good Pokemon game. It had a darker story than the others, plus the twist of Shadow Pokemon was excellent. The moment they create a new Coliseum game, I will be one of the people waiting in line the day it comes out, lol.

Well the Pokemon games have been around for quite a while i always wondered why they never made a game for the Gamecube or Wii that is like the one they made for the Gameboy through DS. The games for the consoles are always so different. That is not a bad thing but when i was younger i did not like starring at a tine screen.

WEll, the 64 games were cool and all, and I even played the coliseum game once for a while. You know what they need though? They need a game that's the same throughout the consoles whether hand-held or not, same storyline and everything except the mainstream consoles have better graphics, that way you could link up and play vs and not have to copy pokemon over a cartridge to the console or such. And also, get rid of the 1000+ pokemon you currently have, keep what you have and add a few more to it and you're set, we don't need 2500 pokemon to be happy TRUST ME..... I couldn't get the damn 153 from the original game.

Yeah. I know what you mean. I think they made it past the 500 mark. Kinda hard to 'Catch 'em all' when you've got so many. Well people have their tastes, so that's probably why.

I just can't stand that they aren't a lil' more careful of what this will turn into...... *shudders* another Barney the Dinosaur coming up? It's only to make money while they milk the stories dry..... Lol, and remember when we thought 153 was enough? Well I looked it up, they have 493 pokemon now, making a withdrawal from Bill's PC ought to be like this



I dunno suddenly those long roads that go through streams, forests, hills, caves and canyons look heart-attack inducing..... And on another note, has anyone noticed that there aren't any guns in the series? I mean come on, imagine the scenario,

*Trainer throws pokeball*

"pikachu! I choose you!"

"Pikachu used tackle!"

"Enemy trainer used .45 cal. castration!"

"Pikachu fainted..."

Adds a whole new element to the game now, might have to bump the ratings up to M tho.....

Hm. Well, considering all of the technology used in the games, you would expect there to be something of technological advancement. If I remember correctly, there was an energy cannon in one of the games. I don't know. I'm waiting to see if the creators will make a story where the bad guys, (put Random Evil Corporation Group Name here), make a giant energy cannon fueled by a legendary Pokemons power, and the threaten to use it unless they get money. the main character shows up and beats the leader, who uses the opposing legendary, causing a malfunction to the cannon in the process. The player runs up the stairs to find the legend in an injured beserk state. When the battle starts, it has yellow HP, but it's stats skyrocket. After the battle, the trainer runs down the stairs but falls, losing half of his Pokeballs in the process, he wakes up somewhere near the rubble and goes in search of his Pokemon. Or something like that. I'll think of an elaborate story, give me some time.

Well it may be interesting if they made a game that you took the role of one of the evil corporations and worked with them to do what they do. It would be a major change in the way those games have been. I think it would take something like that to really shack up the Pokemon game and make it some thing more than a slightly modified version of the last game.

I got a story, the main character (we'll call him Ash for shit's sake)

Well, Ash runs through a reboot of the red/green/blue/yellow version of the game and towards the end when he's running to the next and final gym, Pikachu farts right next to 500 gallon gasoline tanker.... Offers closure to the series and nobody would see it coming, ya know?

Yes REEEALLY... *Facepalms Eclipse* They've been enslaving Pokemon long enough, don't you think that Pikachu WANTS to die? He's been around for like what? 20 years now? Time to put the rat to sleep.

If you think Pikachu has gotten old, then which Pokemon should be the new Pokemon mascot?

I just mean that it should probably be changed up a bit, like make a reboot of the series but make it so it's not like EVERY other game there is in existence, my god add some variety. Also, they need more than 4 moves... I'm tired of my Charizard having Alzheimer's Disease. I think that they should learn at least 6 or more moves per Pokemon. Not that I'd have time to play it anymore.

i cannot wait for more pokemon to come out, the current games have gotten boring since i beat them in no time flat.



Plus i agree with the whole 'six moves' thing. It like they brainwash all of the things with their own programming...

I REALLY still think that they should actually start over with the originals with NEW moves and maybe different colors, new items, a 3D world like in sandbox format like San Andreas, make some minigames, and online PvP play, because let's face it, Pokemon gets kinda boring on it's own, so if you and your friends can shape the world it would make it more interesting. Add some dynamic encounters with Team Rocket, legendary pokemon, hidden lands, and maybe a party system, actually a Pokemon game would make an excellent 4-8 player RPG game, if done right.

Hmm. That is an interesting concept you present. However, with everything tha they have added to the series, I will have to say that it'll take alotta man-power to make that happen...

That, plus sleepless nights, tons of coffee/tea, and enough fast food to give every McDonalds employee in the world a raise.
