Looking at the new lineup for 2012's movie selection, I've put out what movies look positively awesome, and some of which I genuinely want to see.

5. Prometheus

What happens when a starship goes to another planet and finds ancient ruins and needs to save themselves and humanity from an alien menace? ALIE--! PROMETHEUS! But this movie comes from the creators of the Alien trilogy, so there should be some intense action here, and hopefully we'll see some creepy crawly stuff as well.
4. Dark Shadows

Johnny Depp comes out and plays Barnabas Collins, an ancient vampire who returns from the dead to modern times to protect his lackluster descendents from harm in his ancestral home. Looks to be decent enough at least to be a nice family movie.
3. The Dark Knight Rises

The last movie in the Dark Knight trilogy, looks to be an awesome flick when Gotham brands Batman an enemy. 8 years passes after Batman takes the fall for Two-Faces crimes, and now it's time for the Dark Knight to stop a new face, Bane, from terrorizing Gotham
2. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The Prequel to J.R.R. Along the way, there are many misadventures to be had along the way. Including one about a slightly odd ring...
